From the morning of April 10 to April 13, 2017, Dr. Pedram Fatehi, distinguished professor of our hospital/key laboratory, gave four consecutive lectures for all teachers and graduate students. The lecture was entitled “The Skills of Scientific manuscripts writing”. The implementation skills of scientific experiments as well as the wording, grammar, and voice of the writing of scientific papers are explained in detail, and the errors that often appear in the writing process are analyzed and discussed in the form of examples. After the lecture, Dr. Pedram Fatehi conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions with teachers and students around the field, centering on the planning, implementation, and writing of scientific research papers. This special lecture is of great significance to the improvement of the level of scientific and technical dissertations for teachers and students in our school.
Dr. Fatehi is an associate professor at the Department of Chemical Engineering at Lakehead University in Canada. He is mainly engaged in the research of biomass refining technologies related to pulp and paper engineering, especially the research of biomass refining technology based on dissolving pulp production, and new biomass technologies. Research and development of materials, including the modification and application of cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin. In 2016, Dr. Fatehi was hired as a distinguished professor by our institute to undertake some professional courses for undergraduates and postgraduates, and actively participated in the thesis writing and revision work of scientific research workers and graduate students in our hospital.
