From May 5th to May 8th, 2017, the Fifth China Forestry Conference hosted by China Forestry Society was held at Beijing Forestry University. The main contents of the conference include: celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Society; inviting renowned academicians, experts and relevant leaders to give academic reports on major issues related to the development of forestry disciplines, forestry science and technology innovation, and social concerns; setting up “a hundred years” forest cultivation, based on the era of big data Twenty-nine academic branch venues for sustainable and efficient tree breeding, forest landscape construction and green living, etc., conduct academic exchanges. More than 1,000 representatives from various circles at home and abroad attended the conference.
Xu Feng, director of Shandong Provincial Key Laboratory and professor of the School of Paper Science, took part in the academic exchange activities of the branch.
Laboratory teachers Ji Xingxiang, Mao Jianzhen, Zhao Xin and some graduate students participated in the conference; Professor Ji Xingxiang gave an academic lecture entitled “Effects of Enzyme Treatment on Chlorine-free Bleaching of Fast-growing Poplar Kraft Pulp” at the conference venue. Reports; Mao Jianzhen, Zhao Xin and graduate students have submitted written academic papers.
