 On October 15-16, 2017, the 8th Member Representative Conference of Shandong Papermaking Association and the 2017 Academic Annual Conference was held in our school. There were 112 members from enterprises, universities and research institutes in the province's pulp and paper industry. Representatives attended the meeting and leaders and specially invited representatives from the Shandong Provincial Science and Technology Association, the China Paper Association, and the Seventh Board of Advisors of the Shandong Paper Association attended the meeting.


   The meeting includes two main contents.

 The first is to hold a general election, chaired by Zhang Jinsheng, vice president and secretary-general of the Seventh Council. Teng Jianjun, Chairman of the 7th Board of Directors, worked on Seventh Board of Directors' Work Report of Shandong Papermaking Society and Shandong Papermaking Society's Financial Report, and made The Modification Instructions for the Constitution of Shandong Pulp and Paper Institute as The 8th Council of Shandong Papermaking Society The explanation of the work situation for the change of term will be made by the Association of Shandong Papermaking Association, financial management, etc. The organization of the day-to-day operation and management system will be explained. All representatives reviewed and passed the above report or document. The election process was carried out according to established procedures. Seventy-seven were elected to be members of the Eighth Council of the Society; 27 were elected as standing directors; Chen Jiachuan was elected as Chairman, Wang Zefeng, Chen Hongguo, Li Xiaoliang, Ying Guangdong, Li Hongfa, Wang Dongxing, Zhang Jinsheng, etc. Seven people were elected as deputy directors; Sun Ping was elected as Secretary-General. Subsequently, it reviewed and adopted resolutions such as changing the legal representative. Finally, Chen Jiachuan, the newly elected chairman of the board of directors and president of the Shandong University of Science and Technology (Shandong Academy of Sciences) delivered a speech that was full of enthusiasm and contained lofty goals and clear ideas. He first thanked the leaders, representatives, and advisors. Thanks and fully affirmed the work of the Seventh Council and previous sessions of the Council. We thank everyone for their trust and support for themselves and the school. Later, he said, We must adhere to the correct political direction, regulate and organize a democratic meeting. , openness, cooperation, activities, services, assistance, the school is fully responsible and do the work of the affiliated units, and so on. Five aspects put forward the goals, requirements, and paths for the new session of the Institute; finally, he proposed and called for, and everyone united, Actively work hard to make the Shandong Papermaking Society an “Academic Exchange Center, Talent Training Training Center, and Science and Technology Consulting Service Center” in the pulp and paper industry. It is designed to allow higher-level organizations to rest assured, the general members are comfortable, the industry’s enterprises have confidence, and the public cares. Mr. Ge Yuzhi, Minister of the Academy of Science and Technology of Shandong Province and Secretary-General of China Papermaking Association Cao Chunxi attended the meeting and delivered a speech.

 The second is to hold the 2017 academic annual meeting and related academic exchange activities. Sun Ping, the newly elected Secretary-General of the Society, presided over the academic annual meeting. The Director of China Pulp and Paper Research Institute Cao Chunxi made an expert report on the “Competitiveness of Science and Technology Innovation in the Global Paper Industry”. Zhang Jinsheng, deputy director of Shandong Papermaking Association, Zhang Fengshan, Huatai Paper, Jialin Jun of Quanlin Paper, Zhu Wenzhi of Chenzhong, Dai Chuandong of Changhua, and Kong Fangong of Qilu University of Technology made special academic reports. Finally, the delegates visited the Key Laboratory of Pulp and Paper Science and Technology/Ministry of Education of Shandong Province, Qilu University of Technology.

 After the election was completed, the eighth session of the Shandong Paper Association held a meeting, chaired by the newly elected chairman Chen Jiachuan. After the deliberation and approval of the candidates for the post of deputy secretary-general, Ding Hongjie, Kong Fangong, Wu Qin, and Wang Guiqing were elected; after deliberation and adoption of 12 professional committee members, Chen Jiachuan, Liu Yu, Ding Hongjie, Kong Fangong, and Zhao Chuanshan were selected as organizational and academic work respectively. Major members of the professional committees such as the General Education Work, International Academic Work, and Science and Technology Training Work, and several teacher members were elected as deputy chairmen or members of the relevant professional committees; reviewed and approved the working opinions of the Board of Shandong Paper Association. Prior to this meeting, the ninth and tenth meetings of the Seventh Standing Committee of the Shandong Paper Association were held in accordance with the requirements of regulations and work requirements, and the main contents of the meeting and relevant work points were determined, among which the Institute’s affiliated units were identified. The legal representative and the secretariat’s office were changed from Shandong Paper Research and Design Institute and (formerly) Shandong Institute of Light Industry, Cui Weizhang, Shandong Paper Research and Design Institute to Qilu University of Technology (Shandong Academy of Sciences), Chen Jiachuan, Qilu University of Technology ( (Shandong Academy of Sciences), related changes have been and continue to be carried out in accordance with the Shandong Provincial Civil Affairs Department related community organization management practices. School offices, publicity departments, libraries, network centers and other departments gave strong support to this meeting.
