Key labs Fan Fangong, deputy director, Wang Huili, Wang Zhaojiang, Wu Qin, Song Zhaoping, and Lin Zhaoyun, and other 6 teachers, went to Nanjing Forestry University in Jiangsu from November 17 to 18, 2017 to participate in the 31st Papermaking Society of 7 provinces in East China. Academic Annual Meeting and the 14th Academic Annual Meeting of Jiangsu Papermaking Society.
More than 100 experts, professors and postgraduates from the papermaking fields of seven provinces in East China attended the conference. The theme of the conference was Green Intelligence, Innovation and Development. The conference focused on the difficulties and challenges faced by the paper industry, and conducted extensive discussions and exchanges on topics such as the paper industry development trend, foreword research, scientific and technological innovation, product research and development, energy saving, and environmental protection. Lin Zhaoyun from our hospital made a report entitled “The Stability of Magnetic Emulsion Membrane and the Separation and Extraction of Phenolic Organic Compounds from Wastewater”. It was well received and warmly discussed by representatives of the conference.
Through this conference, the participants exchanged extensively with papermaking experts, which not only broadened the research fields of our pulp and paper engineering disciplines, but also met many outstanding experts and scholars in the field and conducted the disciplines for pulp and paper engineering in our laboratory. Technical cooperation and exchange laid the foundation.
The seven provinces in East China include Shandong, Jiangsu, Anhui, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Jiangxi and Fujian. They are frontier regions for reform and opening up, and are also economically developed in the country. The pulp and paper industry accounts for half of the country, and the papermaking society has a long history of mutual exchanges and cooperation. Traditionally, this time the staff of our hospital not only represented the pulp and paper engineering disciplines, but Kong Fangong and Wu Qin also acted as the newly elected deputy secretary-general of the eighth council of the Shandong Papermaking Institute and was entrusted by Chairman Chen Jiachuan to represent the Shandong Papermaking Society. The meeting, held at the meeting of the seven leaders held during the meeting, confirmed that the next session (2018) will be undertaken by the Shandong Papermaking Society.
