April 4, 2018, is an important time node for the construction of the discipline and platform of our hospital (key laboratory). In the morning, the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Shandong Provincial Government held the Shandong University’s Shandong University’s Qilu University of Technology (Shandong Academy of Sciences). The provincial and ministerial departments jointly negotiated the construction of bio-based materials and the State Key Laboratory of Green Paper; the deputy director of the Basic Research Department of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Guo Zhiwei, and his team visited our key laboratory to conduct research.
At the consultation, Huang Wei, member of the Party and Department of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and Yu Jie, a member of the Shandong Provincial Party Committee and deputy governor, attended the meeting and delivered speeches. The principal (dean) and the Director of the State Key Laboratory of Bio-based Materials and Green Papermaking jointly established by the Provincial Ministry of Education Professor Chen Jiachuan from the basic situation of the school, the purpose and significance of the laboratory construction, the basis for the construction of the laboratory, the planning of the laboratory construction, The report on the construction of laboratories was reported in five aspects including the objectives of laboratory construction. Wang Yinglong, secretary of the Party Committee, reported that the school (Academy of Sciences) as the supporting unit has provided guarantees for the construction and operation of the State Key Laboratory of Bio-based Materials and Green Papermaking jointly established by the Ministry of Education. Sun Bin, Vice Mayor of Jinan City, reported on the construction of the State Key Laboratory of Bio-based Materials and Green Papers supported by the Ministry of Finance and Industry of Jinan City. Participating leaders and comrades also conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on the construction, operation, and management of laboratories, and reached consensus on advancing laboratory construction.
All staff of our hospital (key laboratories) did not participate in the consultation meeting at the Shandong building. Director Gong Fanwei led the deputy director Guo Zhiwei and his team visited the site of the key laboratory in our hospital. The inspection lasted over one hour. Guo Si He has conducted comprehensive, detailed and inquiries on various aspects of the situation, and put forward sound and direct opinions and requirements on the construction and management of key laboratories.
At this point, the teaching, research, and platforms of our hospital (key laboratory) have been certified at the national level, and we will move toward a higher goal at a new starting point!
