The Laboratory of Pulp and Paper Science and Technology at the Qilu University of Technology (formerly Shandong Institute of Light Industry) was established in 1995. It was approved by the Department of Science and Technology of Shandong Province as a Key Laboratory of Shandong Province in 2004 and entered the ranks of strengthening construction in 2006. In November 2010, the Ministry of Education Acceptance approval is the Key Laboratory of Pulp and Paper Science and Technology Ministry of Education. At present, the laboratory is an important part of the technological innovation system of the Qilu University of Technology. It is the basic science and technology research, basic application research and technology development of high-level pulp and paper industry organized by Qilu University of Technology, gathering and cultivating outstanding scientific and technological talents, and academic development. An important base for communication.
The establishment of key laboratories open funds is to encourage high-level research institutions at home and abroad, universities, and industrial sectors to carry out exchanges and cooperation with the laboratory; to support and unite more scientific researchers in pulp and paper science and technology. The frontier scientific fields and application fields as well as the development of instrument and equipment functions carry out high-level research; explore new communication modes and broaden the channels for scientific and technological cooperation, thus playing an active role in promoting the development and strategic transformation of China's pulp and paper industry.
I. Qualification of applicants for open-fund projects
(1)The applicant is a non-fixed person in the laboratory;
(2)Out-of-school researchers with a Ph.D. or vice-professional title below the age of 40;
(3)On-campus researchers with doctoral degrees or senior professional titles;
(4)It has a certain research basis and published the papers collected by SCI in the past three years.

III. the funding of the open-fund project
The 2017 Open Fund is mainly used to fund topics related to the research field of this laboratory. The scope of funding is focused on the following aspects:
(I) Pulp and paper properties and biotechnology of fiber resources: Pulp and paper properties and modification technology of fiber resources; Functionalization and high-value utilization of natural polymer materials; Reuse of secondary fibers; Biotechnology The application of pulp and paper, the production mechanism and control technology of harmful substances in the process of pulp and papermaking. We will focus on supporting the functionalization and high-value utilization of plant fiber resources.
(2) Green chemistry technology and biomass resource utilization in pulp and papermaking: High-efficiency cleaning chemical pulping and bleaching, high yield clean pulping and bleaching, biotechnology and other green chemistry technologies applied to pulp and papermaking processes, natural biomass resources The basic theories and application of technologies in the fields of comprehensive utilization and other fields; basic theories in the fields of advanced treatment of papermaking wastewater, efficient utilization of solid wastes in the process of pulp and papermaking, separation of components of natural plant biomass, and modification and transformation And application of technology research; focus on the preparation of cellulose-based, lignin-based functional materials and the development of energy-based chemicals, biomass liquids, and gas fuels.
(3) Paper Wet-end Chemistry and Chemicals: Development and Mechanism of New Paper Wet-end Additives; Control and Control of Wet-end of Paper-making Anionic Interferents and Adhesives; Particulate Emulsification of Reactive Paper Sizing Agents Research on reaction mechanism; modification technology of papermaking filler; research on new nano-retention technology and retention mechanism.
(4) Function paper and equipment: Preparation technology and equipment for processed paper and functional paper; New coating and coating technology; Fiber properties and modification technology; Multi-fiber papermaking performance; Paper structure and properties; Novel non-plant fiber raw materials Paper technology; special paper sheet forming technology and equipment; preparation and application of functional papermaking auxiliaries; comprehensive utilization technology and equipment for pulp and paper solid waste; key common technologies and equipment for energy saving and emission reduction in papermaking production process. Focus on supporting new theories and technologies in functional paper and equipment, new technologies for fiber modification, and new technologies for the comprehensive utilization of paper and solid waste.
(5) Paper printing technology: development of new environmentally-friendly printing materials such as inks and papers, and study of printability; new anti-counterfeiting technologies for paper printing; new technologies for printing electronics; evaluation and control of image reproduction quality on paper printing materials, etc.
(6) Pollution prevention and control technologies: energy-saving technologies for biochemical pulping; energy-saving and emission-reduction and environmental protection for pulp and paper; enterprise energy-saving theory and comprehensive energy optimization technologies; waste separation, extraction and conversion technologies; waste water, waste gas, waste residue treatment technologies And equipment.
