Research on plant resources chemistry
1.A lot of research work has been done on the biosynthetic mechanism, chemical structure of lignin-carbohydrate complex (LCC) and its influence on the pulping process and resource utilization. The 13C-isotopic exogenous labeling method was used in combination with 13C-NMR to study the chemical structure of LCC and lignin. The metabolic pathways of schisandrolone glycosides and their derivatives in the lignin and LCC biosynthesis were discovered, and the wood was discovered. Anisole, ester, and acetal linkages between the phenylpropanoid building block and the polysaccharide, and the linkage of the chemical bonds between lignin and cellulose in the LCC was demonstrated, clearly clarifying the lignin and carbohydrates in the plant The types of linkages between them lay a theoretical foundation for the development of new technologies for pulp bleaching and the oriented cultivation of fast-growing materials for papermaking. In recent years, the United Nations internal and external research institutes in this laboratory have applied the theoretical results to the practice of genetic breeding of Loblolly Pine, Triploid Populus tomentosa, and Corbicola sp. The effect has a greater impact at home and abroad.
2.A large amount of work has been done on the analysis of the chemical structure of lignin using nuclear magnetic resonance techniques, combined with 13C-NMR, 31P-NMR, CP/MAS 13C-NMR and HMQC 2D- NMR and other woods, grasses, and lignin in pulping have been extensively analyzed, and for the first time in the world, lignols such as coniferyl alcohol and phenylpropane with saturated measurement structures have been directly demonstrated. For the first time in the world, a systematic analysis of the basic structure of fast-growing poplar lignin, as well as the content of phenolic structures and the content of condensed structures was carried out.
3.Obtained 4 National Natural Science Funds, 3 provincial and ministerial level projects, 3 national invention patents, 37 SCI, Ei, and ISTP publications in the paper, and 70 cited by SCI. The scientific research achievement won the second prize of the outstanding achievements in scientific research of the institutions of higher learning of the Ministry of Education (Natural Science).
